Mike Tyson has talked about the terrible health condition that first forced him to miss his fight with Jake Paul.
The controversial influencer and former Disney star will face the famed heavyweight boxer on Friday, November 15.
Prior to this, the originally scheduled July fight was retitled after Tyson eventually pulled out.
The former heavyweight champion had a medical issue on an aircraft, according to his handlers, when he became “nauseous and dizzy” due to a “ulcer flare-up” shortly before landing.
After talking about the problem with his X followers, the celebrity claimed to be feeling “100 percent.”
Tyson has now revealed further details in Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, a freshly released Netflix documentary that chronicles the fight’s build-up from the perspectives of both competitors.
During the fight, the boxer claims in the documentary that he was “throwing up blood” and believed he was “going to die.”
“A week and a half ago, I was training and doing really well when I suddenly started to feel exhausted,” he said.
I was saying to my trainer, “I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
I vomited blood on the plane from Miami when I went to the bathroom. I discovered myself on the ground when I was urinating tar.
Upon my arrival, they found that I had a two-and-a-half-inch big, gushing ulcer. My friends were calling me like I was dying.

“I asked the doctor if I was going to die, and she didn’t say no,” Tyson said. But when she said, “We have options,” I started to feel nervous.
“Dude, I can’t wait to get away from this jerk. God, I want to get into training and combat. Instead of dying in the hospital bedroom, I would rather die in the ring.
“You can’t imagine the amount of pain my ulcer caused me. Twenty-six pounds were shed by me. Do you think that’s possible? I was angry because I had peaked. I was doing well, talking sh*t, and I was ready.
Paul also talked about his reaction to the news in the documentary, saying, “I was just numb, I was just like, ‘f**k’ when I received the news that he was out and not able to fight.”
“Nobody can tell Mike Tyson what to do, and if he wants to fight me, of course I’m going to say yes,” the man on YouTube said.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete against two of the greatest fighters in history, Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.
“I never really expected something like this because I consider Mike Tyson to be a killer.”
The boxing battle between Tyson and Paul will take place in a week and will also be available on Netflix.
