Kim Kardashian has resorted to technology as a companion. The reality TV personality has acquired her own Tesla robot.
Take a look! The founder of SKIMS shared on X her experience using her brand-new “personal assistant” robot, Optimus, which Elon Musk unveiled during his Tesla presentation last month.
In a recent video, Kim demonstrated a few of the android’s features, demonstrating her apparent affection for the artificial companion.
At the beginning of the video, Kim waved to her new robot, and the robot quickly returned the greeting. When the droid offered up his hand to perform the move, the mother of four expressed her surprise and asked if the robot could complete a heart shape with her.
After asking the robot a series of simple inquiries, Kim demonstrated the automaton’s range of motion by lifting the roof, sprinting, and performing the hula.
After writing, she wrote, “meet my new friend 🦾🤖 @Tesla.”
The former cast member of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” also shared images of her interactions with the Tesla bot on her Instagram Stories, showcasing some of its other shenanigans.
Kim’s encounter with a Tesla droid is not the first time a celebrity has done so. Though it was later discovered that a Tesla employee was remotely operating the robot, rapper 2 Chainz had a one-on-one talk with one of the futuristic machines during the tech company’s “We, Robot” event in October. According to Elon’s earlier statements, the Optimus units will cost between $20,000 and $30,000.
KK is a well-known admirer of Tesla products and owns one of the highly sought-after Cybertrucks; but, last week, the car got her into some problems.
It’s unclear, though, if Kim paid tens of thousands for the bot or whether Elon sent her one to test out. Anyway, it’s obvious that Kim adores her new robot friend!
