John Cena Confirms Cancer Diagnosis

Cena is a household name. His ascent to stardom started in 2002, when WWE contracted him, and he quickly gained popularity among spectators because to his captivating personality and strong in-ring ability.

The 47-year-old made his WWE SmackDown debut with his well-known gimmick, Doctor of Thuganomics.

Over the following two decades, Cena rose to prominence on the program.

Cena has now made his mark in Hollywood, appearing in films such as Fast & Furious 9, Bumblebee, and The Suicide Squad, establishing his reputation as an actor.

The WWE star has revealed a sad cancer diagnosis. Fans are taking to social media to show their support.

A single user writes: “I really admire John Cena for being brave enough to speak out about his experience.”

“His openness can help encourage others to prioritize their health,” a different person says. “Thank you for sharing this important message.”

“This is heartbreaking; goes to show that no matter how healthy you are, cancer doesn’t discriminate,” an additional category.

Cena’s health statement follows his appearance as the new face of Neutrogena’s new Ultra Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 70, an undetectable, lightweight sunblock.

The commercial, branded ‘Sunscreen You Can’t See,’ features the WWE star and his signature ‘You Can’t See Me’ hand motion.

In addition to Cena, the film includes dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon Dr. Neera Nathan, who emphasizes the need of applying sunscreen on a regular basis.

In an interview with People, the Daddy’s Home star said that the campaign is extremely important to his heart.

“I grew up in a little community between Newburyport and Salisbury Beach. “The Massholes call it the North Shore,” he says. “Some of my earliest memories of summer are of small carnivals and people walking the beachside.”

Cena also admits that he never wore sunscreen as a youngster. With his mother raising five sons, it was never a top priority. Furthermore, in 1977, there was less attention on the significance of sun protection.

The WWE star traveled from New England to Florida in his early twenties, where he ‘fell in love with the sun,’ but says he ‘neglected’ his complexion.

“I was obstinate. I didn’t want a routine, and I assumed the issue would never affect me. And it was one of those situations where I had a lot of exposure with no safety, and it caught up with me,” he admits.

Neglecting his skin led to a diagnosis: “It wasn’t until I went to a dermatologist, got a skin checkup, and had a cancerous spot removed from my right pec.”

Cena recalls getting the fatal call: “You got to come back in.”

The 47-year-old considers himself’very blessed’ to have a fantastic dermatologist, and he adds that skin cancer statistics are ‘overwhelming.’

According to The Skin Care Foundation, one in every five Americans may acquire skin cancer at some point in their lives, and nearly 9,500 individuals are diagnosed with skin cancer each day.

The A-lister goes on to say, “I believe that human-to-human interaction is the most effective method to make a statement. And as a person, I can tell you that that phone call is not what you want to receive since it is unexpected, and you have no idea how horrible it will be.

“A year later, I went back and had another area removed near my right shoulder. It appears as a white polka dot on the side of my breast and across my shoulder. “If you watch WWE, you’ll see them.”

Cena is now recommending people to protect themselves from the sun by using sunscreen as part of their daily routine, much like ‘brushing your teeth.’
