On Wednesday, November 20, in south-east England, Liam Payne was buried, just over a month after his death on October 16. In Buenos Aires, Argentina, the One Direction member fell from a hotel balcony and died at the age of 31.

In Amersham, Buckinghamshire, his 1D bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan attended the private funeral for family and friends only. Along with Payne’s partner at the time of his death, Kate Cassidy, TV host James Corden, and Simon Cowell from The X Factor were also present at the service.
Payne’s autopsy revealed that he had multiple severe injuries from his fall, as well as internal and external bleeding. Earlier this month, his remains was flown back to the United Kingdom in order to be prepared for the funeral. The singer’s body had previously been detained by the local government while toxicological and other laboratory tests were conducted to ascertain the cause of his death.

Payne’s fall led to the arrest of three persons earlier this month; according to Argentine police, Payne was given drugs before he passed away. In the days before his death, Payne allegedly had “alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants” in his system, according to a translated copy of the toxicology report. His death is still being looked into.
Before taking an indefinite break in 2016 to work on solo endeavors, One Direction released five studio albums after being established on the television program The X Factor in 2010. Prior to his death, Payne published LP1, his first studio album, and was rumored to be working on a second.
Bear, born in 2017, is Payne’s baby with Girls Aloud singer Cheryl, and his parents and two sisters.
