At least six people are killed when a helicopter crashes into the Hudson River in New York City while children are inside.

While walking her rescued dog Archie in the rain on the West Side Highway, Anna saw the lights and emergency personnel on the New Jersey side of the river.

“There was a lot of commotion after I saw the helicopter submerged in the water,” she told DailyMail.com.

“One of my kids asked, ‘What’s that sound?'” remarked another. I told him I had no idea. ‘Do you suppose that was an earthquake?’ said my other kid.”No, we would feel it,” I said.

‘Do you believe a building pancaked?’ my other youngster inquired. An eyewitness told ABC that the accident “sounded like a sonic boom” and that the helicopter was “splitting in two”

When he glanced up. “It just went straight into the water because it was moving so quickly.” He went on, “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.”
