She stated that the unit team manager told her, “I’ve seen your case on the news, and I personally don’t think we tax payers should have to pay for your surgery,” when she attempted to report the attacks.
“What do you expect to happen when you dress like a woman and have t*** in a male facility? God doesn’t approve of transgender and gay people.”
The worker allegedly brought up a lawsuit against the state for prohibiting taxpayer-funded transgender surgery for prisoners.
According to the initial lawsuit, Cordellionè was given a female hormone and testosterone blocker after being diagnosed with gender dysphoria in 2020.
It further stated that she ‘is a woman and cannot bear her male physique’, which is why she had tried suicide and self-harmed.
In March, the Indiana Department of Corrections was directed to set up sex reassignment surgery for her “as soon as possible.”
