Consequence originally published the article Bob Bryar, Former My Chemical Romance Drummer, Dead at 44.
The drummer for My Chemical Romance with the longest stay, Bob Bryar, passed away at the age of 44. He was a member of the band from 2004 until 2010.
Bryar was discovered dead on November 27 at his Tennessee home, according to TMZ. According to reports, an Animal Control employee found his death after he was last seen alive on November 4. According to TMZ, a medical examiner is currently conducting an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death, and since all of Bryar’s weaponry and musical instruments were found in his house undamaged, no foul play is suspected.
After Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was released in 2004, Bryar replaced Matt Pelissier as a member of My Chemical Romance. He played on the band’s popular 2006 album, The Black Parade, and went on many tours with them. He also appeared on MCR’s compilation of rarities, Conventional Weapons, and their fourth album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (2010).
In order to focus on a career in real estate, Bryar left My Chemical Romance in 2010 and completely left the music business in 2014. Additionally, he started to actively support dog rescue organizations and sanctuaries by selling his My Chemical Romance memorabilia at auction.
