Madonna has reportedly spent days “struggling” with “producers and agents” in an effort to minimize the scope of her lengthy, self-directed biopic about her life, which is slated to feature Julia Garner, despite having served as the Queen of Pop for forty years.
In a passionate Instagram post on Monday, Madonna said that after four years of work on the project, which included an original draft with Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody and later revisions by Erin Cressida Wilson, she spent days “listening to producers and agents tell me why I couldn’t make my film.” Madonna paused the film, which was then scheduled for release through Universal, in 2023 to go on her Celebration tour.
The 66-year-old claimed that people in charge wanted her to “downsize-down scale -think smaller” in relation to the project, which allegedly covers her early New York City career as well as her ascent to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Julia Fox claims that she would’still love to’ play Debi Mazar in the postponed movie about Madonna but
“I realized that everything in my life is going to be challenged,” Madonna’s statement went on. “I’m not here for easy rides. I suppose I should feel thankful. I’m forced to think creatively. My life was everything but ordinary. I can’t make this the traditional way.
She went on to say that in order to rekindle her enthusiasm for the project, she spent time with friends and other creatives. They all agreed to “be even more fearless” in their efforts to get the movie completed.
“We are not able to reduce ourselves. Madonna gave her followers a mysterious hint about the future of the movie by asking them, “Should I make the story of my life into a series or a feature film?” She remarked, “If you want something badly enough in life— the whole universe will conspire to [help] you get it.” “Think before you answer !!”
