Teenagers who murdered for amusement: A 13-year-old girl who recorded a 15-year-old boy beating an elderly dog walker with a slider while shouting racist epithets was convicted of murder.

Mr Sandhu said the girl knew what would happen when she pointed the elderly man out to the boy.

‘She knew there would be violence and she had a desire to capture it – and capturing it provided encouragement for the violence to be meted out,’ he said.

The trial heard the kid carried out the racial attack after his girlfriend broke up with him and he needed ‘rage releasing’.
