The location of all the filler on a 33-year-old woman’s face is revealed by her MRI.

After revealing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) footage that showed how the quantity of hyaluronic acid fillers put into a patient had increased over time due to autonomous migration, a medical surgeon went viral. Thousands of people watched in awe, and they acknowledged that their injected fillers never went away.

The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery defines dermal fillers as gel-like materials that are injected beneath the skin to improve face features, remove wrinkles, and restore lost volume.

Standout Features
An MRI of a woman’s face showed that over the years, hyaluronic acid fillers had moved and multiplied.
Every year, more than a million people use dermal fillers to rejuvenate their faces, according to the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Although hyaluronic acid fillers usually last six to eighteen months, certain reports indicate that they can stay considerably longer.
The board reports that each year, over 1 million men and women select this well-liked facial rejuvenation procedure.

The most widely used injectable fillers are hyaluronic acid-based and typically the least permanent. Usually, hyaluronic acid fillings last six to eighteen months.

When oculoplastic surgeon Dr. Kami Parsa posted MRI video, it went viral.

On Friday, July 12, Dr. Kami Parsa, an oculoplastic surgeon from Beverly Hills, California, posted a video of a patient’s MRI that showed how injectables had changed the patient’s face on his TikTok profile.

This 33-year-old female patient had received injections of more than 12 CC (equal to 12 milliliters) and, consequently, 12 syringes of hyaluronic acid filler during the previous six years.

With more than 7.2 million views, the MRI revealed a grey face with green dots that lit up in different places, such as the cheeks and lips, where the hyaluronic acid filler was still present.

What treatments the patient in question had received were not made clear by Dr. Parsa. Nonetheless, he clarified that a volumetric examination determining the amount of the woman’s filler revealed that it totaled 28 CC.

According to the doctor’s video, “that is more than twice the amount of filler that was injected.”

According to him, this further demonstrates the hydrophilia of hyaluronic acid fillers.

Thus, they both stimulate tissue expansion and have a fondness for water.

“I just don’t see how this wouldn’t completely destroy the lymphatic system,” a TikTok user said in response to the MRI, raising concerns.

One individual commented, “AT LAST, THIS IS BEING TALKED ABOUT.” “Mass production and crazed use without warning.” I have to know more. And what about Botox?

“Botox is safe if done properly and has a long history,” Dr. Parsa retorted.

Someone kept: “All right, so the key to keeping my filler is water.”

One viewer acknowledged: “I keep telling people that I only had my lips done three times, with 0.5 ml each time, and that it hasn’t changed in five years because it doesn’t disappear.”

“That’s what the filler companies were telling us,” the medical expert replied to a netizen who wrote, “all injectors said it would only last 6 months when it first came out.”

According to an observer, “I had chin filler TEN years ago, and I haven’t needed a touch-up since.” All this time, it has remained unchanged.

Another commenter added: “I had my lips done eight years ago. Still, it hasn’t disappeared.

As fillers have grown in popularity over time, celebrities are frequently chastised for using them excessively.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were the target of social media beauty reviewers this month after images of the couple contrasting their earlier and more recent shots began to circulate online this year.

On March 29, Meredith West, a physician assistant with a Master of Science and 15 years of expertise specialized in injectables and plastic surgery, shared a joint Reel with Mountcastle Medical Spa, located in Virginia, USA, on her Instagram profile.

Ryan and Eva’s “before and after” photos in the film appeared to reveal a striking shift in their physical characteristics, with the married couple being a little “puffier” than they once were.

Meredith noted in the title of the reel, “I assume they’ve both had some cosmetic work done recently.”

“I believe that Eva may have undergone facial surgery, possibly a facelift plus/- fat grafting, and they both probably had Botox and facial fillers,” she stated.

Hyaluronic acid is the basic ingredient of the most widely used injectable fillers.

The NHS states that Botulinum toxin injections, like Botox, relax the muscles in your face to smooth out wrinkles and lines like frown lines and crow’s feet.

Both fillers and Botox overuse can have adverse effects. An excessive amount of Botox might result in severe muscle paralysis, which can cause facial expression issues and an unnatural appearance, according to Nurse Gemavie.

Unfortunately, dermatologist Jessica Weiser told Allure in March 2023, “We see a good amount of [overdone filler].” It has the “traditional pillow-face look—very puffy with odd anatomic proportions.”

Allure stated that although there are several contributing variables to the illness, poor injector discretion is undoubtedly a major contributor.

Meredith went on to explain in the caption of her hypothetical Reel of Ryan and Eva’s cosmetic procedure: “I think they both looked amazing before and didn’t need anything other than a little preventative tox and maybe some biostim (i.e., Sculptra) for collagen stimulation.”

Along with medical-grade skincare products, maintenance and preventative measures include laser, microneedling, radiofrequency, and CO2.

The Barbie star’s physical transformation has been discussed by other medical professionals, including aesthetician Jonny Betteridge.

On March 28, Jonny shared a Reel that went viral, garnering 2.2 million views. In it, he talked about the actor’s face changes throughout the years.

“He’s always had very masculine-looking features, well-structured cheekbones, a squared jawline, and a wide chin,” the doctor said while examining Ryan’s older photos.

The 33-year-old patient’s fillers were measured by Dr. Parsa using a volumetric analysis.

Jonny went on: “This mid-facial flatness is a particular feature of his face that contributes significantly to his appearance.

Here, you may observe once more how the face appears sunken.

These four areas are where I apply dermal filler because the majority of patients I meet for these procedures require some kind of mid-face restoration.

“The goal is to restore volume and the structure of the cheekbones.”

As he continued, the physician noted: “Notice a change in this area of the face where it looks much fuller and less sunken.” The star had most likely undergone filler injections about 2021.

In recent years, the Canadian native’s appearance became “overfilled,” the aesthetics expert continued.

“His facial proportions have changed, and his cheeks and midface are fuller,” Jonny remarked. “This is made worse by the way the face moves dynamically when someone smiles, and this look is typical of what I see when someone has had too much filler applied here.”

“Right now, me and my fillers are panicking,” one spectator wrote.
