Keanu Reeves has recently been occupied with filming Good Fortune, his upcoming film. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week, the actor shared a story that caused some fans to feel uneasy.
On set, the 59-year-old actor joked about hurting his knees. Reeves, who is well-known for films with lots of action, such as “The Matrix” and “John Wick,” described how something really innocuous killed him.
In a tough guy accent, the celebrity joked, “No one got to me.” The accident affected me, he said.
“Did you move from one structure to another?” Have you looked at some razor blades? “What did you do?” Stephen posed additional queries.
No, Stephen. The dressing room is a room that I was entering. “Let me say it quickly,” Keanu uttered.
It happened while he was filming a sequence with Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen for the next picture, Good Fortune, according to Keanu. Keanu enjoyed being in a frigid dip with them all. After they were finished, he protected himself by doing the “cold shuffle” in a rug-lined chamber. When he attempted to do so, his foot became stuck in a pocket.
Keanu stood up and moved to demonstrate what had transpired in front of Stephen’s desk. He went on to demonstrate how his knee gave way. “I also leaped.” He said, “I got spiked,” which is exactly what had occurred to him. “Set it down in the earth.”
“My patella, or kneecap, broke like a chipped potato.” But I didn’t know that. However, Keanu added, “my knee blew up after that.”
Man, it’s hard to be hilarious. This was a joke from Keanu.
“With Aziz and Rogen, this wasn’t an action movie,” Stephen reiterated.
“No,” Keanu answered, “it was comedy.

Keanu was spotted filming in January of this year while using crutches and an ice pack on his knee.
In addition to starring in Good Fortune, Aziz Ansari will be directing the film for the first time. The film, which also features Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer, was written by the actor, who also contributed to its production.
